How possums feel about Vegans

 

As I said in the previous post, I love the passion of young people. I just want them to make good sustainable use of their efforts on the earth .

I don't want them to fall into the very same traps as their parents; being mere reactionaries ,being softies , rejecting industrial models for self sufficiency ,living on sentiment ,  confusing need with greed . not acting up to real hard nature driven choices like death and when to kill sow and do things that cost you .( and all the rest like the cynicism that plaques the oldies who were not effective and chose unrealistic world views )      

Today I want to remind you of the hard choices that anyone faces who wants to help us grow food sustainably and find independence and build community .

Sorry to hear you are not well . Neither are we . 

The DPA would like you to cut down your fruit trees and other now popular species of plants as our members are getting sick , dependent and unhealthy,  like you  the house occupants.  
While at first our members liked the idea of you going to the supermarket to get your fruit,  we can see that your practices are not helping create a sustainable environment for ALL of us ( the big idea here)  
 
Please stop being so  nice and go back to putting up fences and culling any risk of overpopulation and starvation and disease before it happens in our "to be agreed" territories . 
 
 That' s what we see as YOUR JOB in this neighborhood , Why do you neglect it? 
 We are just animals who operate on instinct .  We notice you are far too vulnerable to how you feel on the day and wonder what good your mind is doing for you. 

Sorry  to hear that your mind seems to be  in a state of confusion . here's help 


 

Bless all those young people with a passion to do good and tell the truth , but God , please give them wisdom on just how

 

Anyone who doesn't believe in the good Creator of their children  need only be reminded that God gives them enough  common sense to argue with their parents when teenagers .

"No you don't know everything ,and don't me expect me to accept all your smug cynicism about others , your half baked Marxism greed envy and whatever you use to justify your unsustainable reasoning and impulsive actions over the years  " .

"Be kinder and listen better " they rightly say  . 
Hypocrisy comes to mind - the disconnect of your words with your actions

And if we are lucky,  they will take the passion , if not the rickety structures of knowledge we offer them forward . 
In their 20's that passion for good , being kind and questioning their parents maybe the only common sense they have .As this blog states,  really caring for the environment outside the eco outside our home means  slogans are out and study is in.   
No more noise from the attention seekers , the guilt ridden and the cynical salesmen 



Young people are a source of optimism
Look at the wonderful things our young people  have learnt that we didn't already To buy non caged eggs has meant THEY have finally taken out  the Marxist focus on the big bad industry by demonstrating the old Christian principle that we do have choices ( and mere determinisms are traps ) 

We don't and won't be ruled by mere prejudices and fears  of things coming that we haven't seen yet.

 

We sadly can see by your panic about this and that, that you haven't got past first base in understanding sustainable life or  recommending any way forward through determinism and fear .

If  we humans are all wrong in our choices, what hope is there and why publish hope here ? 
I started these blogs over twenty years ago with the main aim of trying to get my generation to invest in the education training and career development of our children so they could help people on the land make place driven consensus decisions that respected the life components in there area.
Today those who have never done any of this properly call for a change for the most unsustainable and costly changes in the world - its not going to happen just as net zero is not going to get us back to Nirvana  either in climate  or hope that sustains . 

What can you do ?

One thing we can all do in the west, especially  is to change the voting system- to give producers the voice they have lost through industrialization  and tertiary job creation  
Our democracies  has been controlled for decades  by a few noisy people in the cities who insist the know things about the environment . 
The only way we can change the dominance of the ignorant self preoccupied noisy extremists who then and now still  occupy the margins at elections is for our young people to join a party which addresses the margin control problem for their party and who are prepared gives proper representation to those who know how to produce things and do it with care and sustainably
